Corporate / Business Release
These
releases are usually focused on building corporate image to make the
company acceptable and real to the industry as well as attract
investment or buy out opportunities. These releases are the ones
announcing new executives and positional changes, quantity of shipments,
large orders and other Business Wow’s!
|
Customer Story/Success Release
This
is the Real Success story and has significant importance in proving the
value of the technology, service or solution that you provide. These
types of releases should include quotes from the customer or consultants
and focus on the problems that the sale has solved. If this release
focuses on just the dollar amount or only on the important customer,
then this slips back into the Corporate release category.
|
|
Technology Recognition
The
essential value of this type of release is that it must include
technical information about the technology or release and expound on the
types of problems that this can solve or that it is in response to your
customer’s requests. This type of release can be dangerous as one must
send out this type of release on a regular basis to show that the
technology is growing and that the company is following the road map to
technical success and being responsible to its current customer base by
adding value to previously purchased solutions.

Participation in Public Events
This
type can also include involvement in organizations that add credibility
to the company and or to certain employees like someone becomes a
Senior Member of the IEEE or granted a patent. This type of release is
usually in a minimum of 2 parts. First explain that the company or
person is going to attend, participate in, speak about or accept an
award at the show/event. This should include what the corporate focus
will be, like a new product or a technology focus. The second part is
after the event one presents the value and success of the event or
relevance to the company and market value. One can collect quotes at an
event and use them to express the emotion of those who attended and what
they felt about your participation, product, award or speech/training. |
